bbcon UK 2018...Day 2 Best Bits

November 8, 2018 Louise Sparks

We had such a fun and exciting first day, so how could day 2 of bbcon UK ever follow that? With pumpkins of course!

We couldn't let Halloween go unmarked, so we decorated the registration desk with these spooky pumpkins - 100% on-brand of course...

The coffee was ready and so we were for another packed day of knowledge and inspiration.

Sessions included presentations on GDPR from Blackbaud's Privacy Counsel, Cameron Stoll, Data Science from Dr Richard Freeman from JustGiving and attracting diverse talent into fundraising with Ryna Sherazi from Anti-Slavery International.

We had so many great non-profits join us and breaks in the sessions allowed time to catch up with colleagues and meet new friends from the industry.

The day ended with a tear-jerking keynote speech from army veteran, inspirational speaker and national treasure Simon Weston CBE. The emotional presentation moved the audience from tears to laughter and back again, finishing our conference on a high by reminding you who work for non-profits how utterly critical is the work you do every day. "As a recipient of charity, I want to thank you for everything you do."

And that was a wrap! Thanks so much to everyone that attended and gave your support. Can't wait to see you at bbcon UK 2019!
