British Film Institute
The British Film Institute (BFI), founded in 1933, is a charity funded directly by the government,
and
delivers public funding to film and the moving image. As part of their responsibility they
distribute lottery funding to film production, distribution, education, audience development and
market intelligence and research.
What made you choose Blackbaud Grantmaking?
"As a grantmaking organisation distributing lottery funds, we are required
to have
grant management technology in place. We migrated from a legacy
system to Blackbaud Grantmaking a couple of years ago, and whilst we didn't
go out to tender, we do hold regular reviews to assess whether we have the
best system for our purposes. That internal review concluded that Blackbaud's
system absolutely met our needs and was the best one for BFI. We could see
that there was a lot of development happening in the product and that it
would only get stronger over time, and that was a big plus for us."
What benefits have you seen since implementing
Blackbaud Grantmaking?
"The fact that that the solution is web-based is fantastic, and means that users
are able to easily access the functionality they need. We have quite a few
