The Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home
The Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home is Edinburgh's oldest Animal Welfare
organisation. The charity's main aim is to reunite and rehome lost and
abandoned pets throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians, working in partnership
with the local authority and Police Services.
Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home is very proud to be an independent local
charity. It doesn't receive any Government funding, therefore relies heavily on
generating its own fundraising efforts within the local community and income
through its boarding services and charity shops.
Why did you look for a new
fundraising solution?
"In 2016 Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home underwent some major changes, and
part of this was to bring in a new fundraising team. Up until that point there
was no specific fundraising database in place, just a lot of spreadsheets and
disjointed data.
"The new team came onboard with a priority to build up true profiles of our
supporters across all different systems, and join it up to allow a much more
structured approach to fundraising. Without a dedicated fundraising solution
there was no way we would be able to do this."
